WE ALL SEEK JUSTICE AND NOBODY IS OKAY
[Another murder, another investigation, another trial, another execution. Unlike last time, it wasn't self-defense, and although they caught him, she's pretty sure nobody is happy. It was sentencing someone to death, after all.
Knowing that, Dlanor writes something on the back of profiles she took from the bulletin board, passing them under the doors. When in a hurry, use what you have, and those profiles will be back sooner or later, anyway]
Please come to the train station. Let's spend some time in each other's company, for our sake
[If you decide to come, you'll find whoever wrote that note has been working hard to make things somewhat nice. There's a few...whatever we all have been using as cups all this time...filled with milk -- evaporated milk with some water, it seems. Tastes almost like normal milk. Dlanor also brought a few twigs and a small piece of log from the sawmull, and seems to be currently trying to make a fire. Some warmth should be nice, right?
Come on, everyone, let's sit around this bunch of wood and strengthten our bonds]

Updating some of my older notes about everyone, and writing about today's events. I've been trying to keep an up to date catalog of everything. Mostly as a precaution, in the event of my passing, or should this journal find its way somewhere else in the world.

Can I read it? Unless it's confidential.
no subject
Unfortunately, some of it is. I record just about everything I feel would be of importance; either to me when going over my notes and trying to piece things together, or to someone else trying to figure out how this town works long after I'm gone.
[Tfw ur the confidant and everyone keeps confiding shit 2 u]

Got it. No worries.
[Of course, there is one thing she's still curious about.]
Am I allowed to know what you've got about me in there, though?

[Here you go!]

You can cross out the poor girl part. I'm fine, really. [But, more importantly:] I appreciate your company, too. Thanks.
[The description brings her to another question, though, something she's been wondering.]
How's your leg doing?
no subject
My leg... Ah. Better than it was during the trial, today. I still need to rest it a while longer, however.
What about yours?
no subject
[That's said almost teasingly, but then her smile shifts to something a bit more humorless.]
I think mine is a bit better off than yours in general. At least, I've got the benefit of not having the bullet still in my leg.

[He's grinning a little as he says it, though it fades.]
I'm glad to hear it. Honestly, these past few weeks my leg has been worse than usual. I can normally keep up much better than this. It's likely due to the lack of painkillers or distraction.
[Plus, having Holmes around often kept his mind off the pain, and he was more than willing to endure the white hot agony of his leg at its worst moments when on a case with Holmes. Watson can't count the number of times he's run alongside Holmes in pursuit of some criminal, his leg all but shrieking to collapse under him but adrenaline keeping his stride even.]

[She nods, sympathetic.]
Can't imagine that all the wandering around we need to do to explore or find food has helped. Mine hasn't been cooperating the way I'd like it to for these last weeks, either.
no subject
I'm sure you know the feeling of needing to be of use.
[Watson's never been one to sit idly by and let others do all the work. Even if it's a detriment to his health- he's stubborn to a fault, sometimes.]
no subject
[She nods.]
I'm just glad I'm not as slow as I was right after it happened. I had crutches for weeks.

If I still had the same amount of pain and weakness now, that I did back then... I would be of no help to anyone.
